NCQA awardMembers rate Providence Health Plan as having the best customer service in Oregon, according to a 2009 Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey conducted for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Survey results posted at NCQA Quality Compass show that Providence Health Plan surpasses competing plans in five categories:

  • The best in Oregon for overall customer service.
  • The best in Oregon for overall health plan satisfaction.
  • The best in Oregon for accuracy of claims processing.
  • The best in Oregon for providing the information or help that was needed.
  • The best in Oregon for treating members with respect.

Providence Health Plans' focus on quality health care and services is recognized by our members, rated one of the highest (4 Stars) in the Northwest for overall customer satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates 2009 National Health Insurance Plan StudySM.

The J.D. Power and Associates 2009 National Health Insurance Plan StudySM measures member satisfaction among 131 health plans in 17 regions throughout the United States by examining seven key factors: coverage and benefits; provider choice; information and communication; claims processing; statements; customer service; and approval processes. The study reports on the results of more than 33,000 health plan member surveys, conducted online between Dec. 2008 and Jan. 2009.
