The Joint Replacement Program at Providence

The physical pain and the psychological stress of arthritis and joint trauma don't have to compromise your quality of life. At Providence, comprehensive total joint replacement procedures are performed by a collaborative team. Patient care begins with thorough evaluation and education and continues through post-surgical therapy and follow-up.

Joint Replacement
Hundreds of joint replacement procedures are performed at Providence every year.  Based on a foundation of medical excellence, the program spans the entire joint replacement experience.

Services include:
a pre-operative class for the patient and their caregiver.
a comprehensive handbook that takes patients through each step of the joint replacement journey.
customized joint program patient rooms on our dedicated orthopedic unit.
a designated rehabilitation area to better assist post-operative treatment.
coordinated services with physical and occupational therapists.

One of the Joint Replacement Program's primary goals is to educate patients and their caregivers about what to expect before, during and after surgery.  Patients planning to have knee or hip replacement surgery should plan to attend our 1½ hour class.
