Medical Air Transport

Local law enforcement officials, Firefighters, First Responders, Emergency Medical Providers and Healthcare Professionals can call our Communications Center at 800-478-5433 or 907-261-3070 to request a critical-care transport from the scene of an injury or between healthcare facilities. The emergency communications specialists follow specific protocols on when to send the emergency medical helicopter.

Rapid transport for medical patients
Call for medical transport when medical professionals trained in critical-care medicine and critical-care equipment are needed to adequately care for the patient. The patient could require invasive monitoring, thrombolytics, vasopressers, blood administration, advanced airway management, a ventilator or other critical-care procedures.

Level of Care
Communication Specialists at LifeGuard Alaska are trained to assist in identifying the most appropriate level of care and mode of transportation for patients.

Safety
Safety is not just our priority, it is part of our value system and encompasses all operations.

How to Select
An air ambulance is more than transportation, it is also a healthcare service operating under difficult circumstances.
