PPMC applies for Magnet re-designation
Providence Portland Medical Center was designated as a Magnet organization in 2005 by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. This prestigious designation recognizes excellence in nursing services. In December 2009, Providence Portland Medical Center is applying for re-designation. Get the best possible care
To make sure you get the best, safest care possible, we need some important information about you. Before you come to the hospital for surgery, please complete and bring with you a copy of this medication history form and the health summary form. If the patient is a child aged 13 years or younger, the parent or guardian should complete the pediatric CAD instead of the health summary. Your safety and your health are important to us.
New Patient E-mail Service Offered
Greetings and well wishes to hospitalized loved ones are now just a click away! A new service coordinated by PPMC volunteers allows patients to receive free e-mail messages. Volunteers will do their best to deliver e-mails within 12 to 24 hours, Monday through Friday only.
Providence recognized by American Heart Association for standards in cardiovascular care
Providence Portland Medical Center has been awarded with the AHA's “Get With The Guidelines” (GWTG) honor, the prestigious "Sustained Performance Achievement Award" in the category of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), for 2009.
Free shuttle service offered
Patients, visitors and employees of Providence Portland Medical Center can enjoy Providence's free shuttle service for those commuting via TriMet bus and MAX. Our wheelchair accessible vans run approximately every 20 minutes between the Hollywood Transit Center (NE 42nd and Halsey) and the medical facility, from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday.
